Attempted kidnapper strikes third time
POLICE are investigating the attempted abduction of an 11 year old boy in Kenwick, which they believe is linked to two similar incidents earlier this week.
Shortly after 3pm Friday, the boy was walking with a friend along Kenwick Road near East Kenwick Primary School.
The boys say a white van pulled up beside them and yelled at one of them to get in the vehicle.
They say a second person slid open the side door of the van from inside.
The boys ran away and alerted school staff.
The driver of the van matches the description of a man wanted for questioning over similar incidents in Armadale and Huntingdale on Wednesday, in which he approached a 16 year old girl and 10 year old boy.
The man is described as aged in his 20s to late 30s, with bright red short hair, a freckled complexion and a slim build.
In the Kenwick incident he was wearing an ocean green coloured faded t-shirt.
In all three cases the man was driving a white tradesman type van.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

Man attempts to lure children into van
POLICE are investigating the attempted abductions of two school children in Perth's southern suburbs today.
A man aged in his late 20s or early 30s approached a 16-year-old girl on Commerce Street in Armadale at 8.30am and attempted to lure her into his vehicle.
Police say the same man has then approached a 10-year-old boy on Westerham Street in Huntingdale about 20 minutes later.
The man, who was wearing a white T-shirt and grey shorts, has a skinny build, was unshaven, with short bright red hair and freckles.
He was driving an older model white tradesman's van with no side windows, a roo bar and a silver ladder on the roof rack.
Anyone with information should immediately contact police on 131 444.
