A HIGH-school computer teacher accused of sending two female students a
package of sexually explicit pictures via e-mail has pleaded guilty to the
crime.
Geoffrey Alexander Simeon, 36, submitted a guilty plea, but did not appear
at a hearing in the Perth Magistrates Court.
The court was told that in June this year Simeon sent two girls, aged 14 and
16, the pictures from his personal computer.
Both girls received the e-mails and viewed the pictures, which police
alleged were not suitable to be seen by minors.
After the father of one of the girls complained to the school, Simeon was
arrested by police from Western Australia's public sector investigations
unit.
Interviewed by police, Simeon said he had sent the e-mails as a joke. He has
since lost his job at the school.
Simeon was ordered to face court on November 19 for sentencing.
