Man Held On Seven Counts Of Rape


A MAN wanted for the violent rape of a woman at Salisbury handed himself in to police and has been charged with seven counts of rape.
Police said the man, 30, of Elizabeth East, walked in to the Elizabeth Police Station about 7pm on Monday.
Superintendent Grant Stevens, of the sexual crimes investigation branch, said police had received several calls from the public.
The man has been remanded to reappear in the Elizabeth Magistrates' Court later.
