Police Appeal Over Assault
POLICE are appealing to a person who may
have unknowingly seen
three suspects before
they sexually assaulted
a woman, 19, in a northern suburbs park.
Sexual Crimes Investigation Branch Detective Acting Inspector
Peter Shanahan said
yesterday the person is
not believed to be involved, but it is vital he
come forward.
The assault on Saturday evening, follows an
attack along the same
stretch of road just one
week ago. Last Monday
a girl, 17, was dragged
into a car by a number
of men as she walked
alone along the road.
Detective Acting Inspector Shanahan said
the 19-year-old female
had been walking home
through Kingfisher
Park, Modbury Heights.
"The men dragged her
into an area in the park
where she was sexually
assaulted," he said.
"One man had a knife
and the other two assisted in the attack."
The first is described
as Caucasian, bad acne
scars, average build and
a sleeper in his left ear.
The second is described as Aboriginal
with a moustache, rat's
tail, bad teeth and two
studs in his left eyebrow.
The third was also Aboriginal, of large build,
bad teeth and a large
burn on his left elbow.
