Student Accused Of Sex With Girl, 10

AN 18-year-old Brisbane private school student has been granted bail after appearing in court today charged with anally raping a 10-year-old girl and having unlawful sex with her now 16-year-old sister.
The Year 12 student appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with 23 child sex offences, including unlawful carnal knowledge and sodomy.
Police Prosecutor Sgt Michelle Clarke said the student, who cannot be identified under Queensland law, had known the older girl since 2004 and allegedly had vaginal and anal sex with her since she was 14.
She said he had also allegedly had anal sex recently with the girl's sister, now aged 10.
Sgt Clarke said there was a risk he would reoffend if allowed bail.
"He is an unacceptable risk," Sgt Clarke said.
"The defendant would continue to commit offences whilst on bail."
But magistrate Zac Sarra allowed bail for the teenager, who lives with his parents, on the condition he reports twice a week to a local police station and stays away from the sisters, their home and their school.
He attends an exclusive Brisbane private school and the sisters attend state schools but live in the same suburb.
A police investigation was launched after school staff allegedly found he had sent the older sister pornographic emails containing images of nude women.
The teenager was not required to enter a plea and will face court again on July 27.
