White Van Linked To Abduction

POLICE are warning parents and children in Perth's southern suburbs to be vigilant after the attempted abduction of a seven-year-old girl in Kardinya.
Police are also investigating a link to the possible stalking of schoolchildren in nearby South Lakes.
Both cases involved a man driving a white courier-type van and police are investigating any possible links between them.
The girl was walking her dog in Robertson Rd, Kardinya, at 7.40am on Monday when a white stopped next to her.
Police said the driver leant out the window and grabbed the girl near the elbow as he tried to pull her into the vehicle.
The girl managed to escape and ran back to her house, but the driver then did a U-turn and stopped outside her house, staring at her for several seconds before driving off.
The second incident involved a group of children aged between seven and 12 who were walking to South Lakes Primary School at 8.10am yesterday.
A seven-year-old boy who was lagging behind the others noticed a white van do sudden a U-turn in front of the children and then drive off.
A police spokeswoman said both cases were being viewed seriously.
"In the last case, we don't know if there was anything sinister in it or not, but certainly they are both of concern,'' she said.
She said children should be aware of their surroundings at all times and should immediately tell a responsible adult if they see someone acting suspiciously.
