A CONSTRUCTION company owner who "mercilessly and repeatedly" raped a woman while her father was held hostage at knife-point has been jailed. In sentencing today, District Court Judge Peter Brebner said Graham Bernard Watson had broke into the woman's house with son Sean Graham Watson, and employee Nicholas Haupi Kouka. Graham Watson, 49, had pleaded guilty to charges of home invasion, four counts of rape, two counts of false imprisonment, indecent assault. Sean Watson, 22, and Kouka, 30, had pleaded guilty to home invasion and two counts of false imprisonment. Judge Brebner said the trio subjected the woman and her father to two and half hours of "humiliation and degradation" as Graham Watson raped the woman and forced her to perform various sex acts in November last year. He said the trio's crimes were "terrifying" and must have a had a "significant" on the mental wellbeing of the woman and her father. "You (Graham Watson) were the instigator. You repeatedly subjected her to merciless and repetitious sexual abuse," Judge Brebner said. "The two of you (Sean Watson and Kouka) did absolutely nothing to intervene.... (you knew) he was humiliating and degrading her and you did nothing." Judge Brebner said Watson used a beer carton full of flowers as a ruse to get inside the house. After knocking on the door, Sean Watson and Kouka forced their way inside and used various weapons that were hidden inside the beer carton to threaten and intimidate their victims. They then bound the woman's father with a telephone cord, gagged him and held a knife at his throat. He said Graham Watson then took the woman into a bedroom and cut her clothes off with a knife. Judger Brebner said that, after indecently assaulting her, Graham Watson took her to the bathroom and told her to "clean herself up". The trio then placed the woman and her father in a car, and repeatedly assaulted them as they were driven to the trio's house in South Plympton. After taking her inside, Graham Watson poured beer over the woman, raped her and forced her to perform various sex acts. About this time, a police patrol noticed a banging noises coming from the car and after investigating they found the woman's father, still bound and gagged inside. As they freed him, the woman fled naked from the house hysterically screaming "I have been raped" and the trio were arrested. Judge Brebner sentenced Graham Watson to ten years and four months jail with a non parole period of six years and eight months. He sentenced Sean Watson to four years and six months jail with a non parole period of two years and six months.
