Police Release Likeness Of Sex attacker
POLICE have released an Identikit picture of a man believed to be responsible for a sexual assault in the southern suburbs.
The assault took place on February 25 as a woman walked home from the Seaford Hotel.
"Until this time we've been following some lines of inquiry," Senior Constable Bill Kelsey of South Coast CIB said.
A woman in her mid-30s was walking home on Commercial Rd from the Seaford Hotel between 11.30pm and midnight after drinking with friends.
The woman was about 700m from the hotel when she was offered a ride home by the offender.
She got into the white or light-coloured 1985-90 "boxy type" sedan with a dark interior and became concerned when the driver took a wrong turn, driving to Schooner Rd where the assault occurred.
The woman was threatened with a knife and forced to comply with the offender before he pushed her from the car and left her at a reserve.
Sen Const Kelsey said the woman was not injured.
