Sex Attacks On Girls
Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted two 8yr old girls at Ballarat last year.
Police said the incident took place 5-6pm on Sunday, July 10,
while the girls were playing beside the Warren-heip Creek,
between Joseph and Otway streets, in East Ballarat.
They had been riding bikes and left them on the footpath before
wandering down to play beside the water.
A male approached and spoke to the youngsters before assaulting them.
He then ran away along the creek.
Ploice hace released a face image of a man they believe may
be able to assist with their investigations.
The man is described as caucasian, aged in his 20's or 30's,
about 173cm tall and of medium build, with short brown hair.
He was wearing a pair of silver/grey trousers, a brown jacket and brown pull-on boots.
There are cash rewards of up to $1000 on offer for information leading to an arrest.

Police Hunt Intensifies
SEXUAL Crimes Squad
police have stepped up
their investigations into
the assault of two girls in
Ballarat last Saturday.
A caravan will be set up
from 8am to 6pm in Joseph St, Ballarat to try to
attract witnesses.
The girls, aged 8, were
playing in a creek along
Callow St about 5:30pm
when a man took them to
a nearby culvert, where he
sexually assaulted them.
Police said the man, in
his early to mid 20s, was
clean-shaven with black
or dark crew-cut hair. He
wore a brown jacket, grey
or silver pants, and brown
pull-on boots. He may
have had a video camera.
Police believe he may
have mud on his clothes.
