Girl, 13, Assaulted On Way Home From School

A GIRL, 13, was grabbed and indecently assaulted while walking home from her southern suburbs school, police said yesterday.
The girl, who was not injured in the attack, told police a man aged in his 20's followed her as she walked in a park in Adams Rd, Trott park, on Thursday afternoon.
He pulled her towards him and exposed himself before she was able to run away. That morning the man had stopped his vehicle and spoken to the girl as she walked to school.
Detective Senior Constable Ken Peglar, of Sturt CIB, said the offender attempted to lure her into his white utility, or tray top, shortly before 9am.
"He just pulled up alongside her when she was walking on the footpath," he said. "He asked where the deli was and said "Can you get in the car and show me". She said 'No'. "There was no physical contact." Snr-Constable Peglar said the man asked the girl to get into his car two more times before she walked away.
About 3.30pm, the girl was walking home through a park when she heard a voice behind her.
"She saw the same man," Snr Constable Peglar said. "He was walking right near her and then he grabbed the girl by her left upper arm and pulled her towards him."
The girl told police the man then exposed himself before she pulled away from him.
The man is described as Caucasian and about 168cm tall with a slim build.
He had short, ginger-coloured messy hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a red top and blue jeans.
Anyone with information should contact Bank SA Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
