Attack Suspect Has A Seizure In Cell

THE man arrested over the alleged violent assault of two schoolgirls was yesterday rushed from court to hospital after apparently suffering a seizure.
The 30-year-old, who cannot be named, was led from the City Watch House to the cells of the Adelaide Magistrates Court shortly after 10am.
He was due to appear in court on charges of assault and carrying an offensive weapon relating to two alleged incidents involving young girls. One was in October and the other was two days ago.
An hour later, ambulance crews were called to the court. They emerged from the underground cells with the man, who had been strapped to a gurney and given an oxygen mask. He was seen to be convulsing.
The man was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital. It is believed he underwent a series of tests before being returned to the Watch House last night.
He was arrested at Sheidow Park on Tuesday after his latest alleged victim recognised his image on the front page of The Advertiser that day.
Police seized a knife and clothing during the arrest.
The composite imge had been published 18 days after the first incident.
Police will allege two 14-year-olds were attacked by the man under an overpass at Elizabeth Rd, Christies Beach, at 11am on October 21.
The overpass area is a meeting place for students and near a path used daily by parents who collect their children from school.
It is alleged the man, armed with a small black- bandied kitchen knife, ordered both girls to undress before trying to pull their clothes off as they attempted to flee.
In the second incident, a 12-year-old was attacked as she walked along Main Rd at Coromandel Valley on Tuesday.
It is alleged the man stepped out from behind a large tree and threatened the girl with a knife, telling her "don't run".
The girl started to flee and her screams alerted nearby residents.
The man allegedly left in a four-wheel drive vehicle.
He is expected to appeal in court today.
