AN 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted
by a group of men as she walked along a road
early on New Year's Day, in Victoria's north-west.
Police say the girl was walking in Swan Hill,
about 1.30am (AEDT), when she became aware of
footsteps and male voices behind her.
She took off her shoes and ran along Monash Drive.
Three men ran after her yelling at her to stop,
police said.
One of the men grabbed the woman around the waist,
forcing her into a cyclone fence on the edge of the
rural city's Pioneer Settlement museum.
The woman struggled with the man and managed to escape
briefly before being grabbed by a second man who
sexually assaulted her.
She was then also sexually assaulted by the third
man, police said.
The three men ran from the scene towards Campbell
Street.
The first man is described as caucasian, aged in his
early 20s, 188cm tall, of thin muscular build, clean
shaven and with short brown hair and an Australian accent.
He wore white sweat bands on both wrists, blue denim shorts,
grey skate board style sports shoes and a black t-shirt with
white writing.
The second man is described as 180cm tall with a very thin
pointy nose, short blonde hair, spiky or curly on top, with
an eyebrow ring in his left eyebrow and acne around his neck.
He also had an Australian accent and was wearing a blue
bonds type singlet, white board shorts and thongs.
The third man is described as 180cm tall, of medium build
and olive complexion with a tribal style tattoo on his left arm.
He spoke with a southern European accent and was wearing a
black peaked cap with a surf type label and a black collared
button up shirt.
Investigators have released an image of one of the men they
are looking for.
