State: SA- Modbury Sentence: Sentenced in Adelaide District court 30/1/07 to 2 yrs jail with 12 months non parole/ Sentence suspended upon entering a $500 bond to be of good behaviour for two years.Meaning he walked free from court.Boxall could have been sentenced to 10 yrs jail on each of the incitement offences alone.. Offence/Other: Victim was a 6 yr old girl..Boxall Pleaded guilty in Adelaide Magistrates Court 25/1/06 to 2 counts of inciting or procuring the commission of an indecent act/ 1 count indecent assault/ 1 count of committing an act of gross indecency.Offences occurred between Dec 2005- Jan 2006 whilst babysitting the young girl. Former youth leader with the "Clovercrest Baptist Church"in Modbury North-Adelaide where he provided counselling and emotional support as needed..the court was supplied with a glowing ref from his pastor at the church (boxall allegedly still attends same church). Incredibly up until November 2006,Boxall worked with disabled children..Has in the past also helped run a recovery tent in the caravan park at Victor Harbour during "schoolies week". |

Public Warned About Abuser A FORMER church counsellor who molested a six-year-old girl is the target of an anti-pedophile letter-box campaign in Adelaide's north-east. Thousands of flyers detailing Simon Luke Boxall's offences are being distributed in the northeastern suburbs and also in the area around a suburban church, where he previously provided counselling. Vigilante website group MAKO, which is dedicated to exposing sex offenders, plans to list Boxall, 24, on its rogues gallery and is also supporting the letter-box campaign initiated by the victim's mother. This follows District Court Judge Paul Rice last month suspending a two-year jail sentence for Boxall and placing him on a good behaviour bond after he pleaded guilty to four sexual abuse charges. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of inciting an indecent act, indecent assault and gross indecency between December 2005 and January 2006. The child's mother, who cannot be named, said yesterday she and her supporters were "absolutely disgusted by the sentence". "It's too light. He's gotten away with it," she said. "It's like my child's innocence was worth a $500 bond, but not payable unless he stuffed up again. "She has panic attacks, she wets the bed, she picks at herself, but hopefully the counselling starts to help." The mother said she was organising the letter box drops to make other parents aware of Boxall's history. "Prevention is the key and I would rather this did not happen to any other family and they don't have to go through what we've been through," she said. "I believe we need more community awareness. "We've handed it out to houses, in pubs, people walking with their families, put it up in notice boards, we're hitting everything." In his sentencing remarks, Judge Rice said Boxall's actions had been a gross breach of trust. But he suspended the sentence because Boxall pleaded guilty, was contrite, sought treatment voluntarily, was young, and was recently married and the father of a 10-month-old baby.
