M/F Name: ANDREW TIMOTHY AGIUS (SA) Age: 39 yrs old (2010) Sentence: Sentenced to 18 yrs jail - 12 yrs non parole. Appealed conviction in Nov 2007- dismissed. Offence/Other: Raped three Adelaide women over a 10-month period. ABC News (13-4-2007 )- "18 years for rapist who posed as taxi driver"- A man who raped three Adelaide women over a 10-month period has been jailed for 18 years by a District Court judge. Andrew Timothy Agius fooled the women into getting into his car by telling them he was a taxi driver. In each case he took them to remote spots and raped them. Judge Wayne Chivell said that when confronted by DNA evidence, Agius had concocted a story that his victims were prostitutes, adding to their humiliation and degradation. Judge Chivell said the 36-year-old had shown no remorse or any signs that he was willing to take part in rehabilitation programs and deserved no deduction on sentence. In the SA Supreme Court, Justice David Peek ordered a report be prepared on whether Ainsworth could show self control. The case will return to court in April 2011. Offence/Other: Jailed in WA for 2 counts of rape in 1998. Raped two women in Adelaide in 1989 and 1994. Was extradited to Adelaide from Western Australia two years ago after police matched his DNA to two cold cases (Adelaide rapes). He pleaded guilty in the District Court to the rapes, one in a laneway off Rundle Mall in 1989, the other five years later in another laneway behind the Botanic Hotel in Adelaide.

M/F Name: DAVID JAMES ALDRIDGE (SA- Tusmore) Age: 36yrs old (2010) Sentence: Sentenced in the Adelaide District Court 28-1-2010 to an 18 months suspended jail term upon entering a $500- 2yr good behaviour bond. Offence/Other: Law student. Pleaded guilty to 5 counts of obtaining access to child pornography.

M/F Name: MEHRAN AMJAD (SA- Angle Park) Age: 54 yrs old (2010) Sentence: To be sentenced May 2010. Offence/Other: Rape. The Adelaide Advertiser (19-4-2010)- A PHONY surgeon, who said "It's OK, I'm a doctor" before pulling down the pants of a shop assistant, 18, and sexually assaulting her, has been found guilty of rape. A District Court jury has found Mehran Amjad, 54, guilty over the incident at a city shop in April 2007. The court heard Amjad, of Angle Park, told the woman he was a cosmetic surgeon and promised to reduce her cellulite and increase her breast size. Jim Pearce, QC, said after convincing the law student, who had just begun work there, to go to the back of the shop, he told her "It's OK, I'm a doctor." He said Amjad pinch-tested her buttocks, then digitally assaulted her.Amjad said the woman's version of events was a "lie that got out of hand" aftershe had phoned her boyfriend. Judge Paul Rice remanded him on continuing bail for sentencing submissions next month.

In November 2000 Amos broke into a woman's house, where he raped her multiple times/ stole from her handbag. 2 months later in Jan 2001 (Australia Day), Amos attacked the same woman's teenage daughter/ threatened her with scissors/raped her multiple times and strangled/murdered her 71 yr old grandmother.

Offence/Other: Paedophile- Repeat Offender. News (9-12-2011)- "No justice for being killed as person"- JEAN had hoped that seeing her tormentor jailed would bring about the end of her personal 30-year sentence. Molested by Raymond Edward Barnard when she was just seven, Jean - not her real name - has spent three decades struggling with eating disorders, suicidal thoughts and trust issues. Yesterday she watched in outrage as the District Court made Barnard eligible for release in just 18 months because of his poor heath and risk of becoming institutionalised. The sentence crushed Jean's dreams of a new beginning and shook her faith in the justice system. "It feels like a slap in the face, like all this time has been wasted," she told The Advertiser outside court. "I'm always going to feel like I'm the one who has been in prison, right up until the day I die. "What he did to me has given me a life sentence - why should he get away with having killed the person I could have become?" Barnard, 77, of Ferryden Park, struck a plea bargain with prosecutors under which he confessed to two of 13 child sex offence charges. He admitted twice abusing Jean, while visiting her home, between 1979 and 1982. Barnard's criminal history dates back to 1957, when he indecently assaulted a child, and includes offences in the late 1980s. The paedophile also spent 33 years in Glenside Hospital for mental health issues. In sentencing yesterday, Judge Paul Rice said doctors believed Barnard's paedophilia "was in remission". However, they had warned he still posed "a significant risk to children" without counselling and treatment. Judge Rice said a long jail term would be especially harsh. He said it would worsen Barnard's mobility issues and depression, while heightening the risk of institutionalisation. He imposed a jail term of five years and four months, and made Barnard eligible for parole in May 2013. Outside court, Jean said that was "not justice". "I can find no comfort in him going to jail for 18 months ... that seems like he's been rewarded for what he has done to me," she said. "I don't care how frail he is, he's still a danger to children. News-Rape case rejects sleepwalking defence. A man who claimed he was sleepwalking when he had sex with a woman while she slept next to her husband has been found guilty of rape. Paul Anthony Blattman, 42, of Parafield Gardens told the District Court in Adelaide he had no memory of having sex with the woman he met earlier that day. The jury heard Blattman had been drinking and fell asleep in his car, waking next morning with no recollection of events. The prosecutor argued the sleepwalking defence was "inherently unlikely" and "almost scientifically impossible". Offence/Other: The maximum penalty for these offences in S.A was one year in jail or a $4000 fine. A senior member of Briscoe's Salvation Army Church gave evidence that he viewed the photographs and still had no concern about Briscoe’s conduct. He dislocated the victims elbow, throwing her to the ground. He then tore off her clothes and attempted to rape her.The womans boyfriend heard her screams and stopped the attack.

Pleaded guilty  to attempting to incite a child to perform an indecent act. Offence/Other: Victim was a 12 yr old boy.While at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Cavanagh  dropped a sexually explicit note into the pencil case of the victim as he was sitting down doing his homework.The boys  Mother grabbed the note and after perusing a few lines, she followed Cavanagh  and with help she was able to detain him until Police arrived. M/F Name: PHILIP CAVE (SA) Age: 61 yrs old (2011) Sentence: Sentenced in a SA District Court, 30-4-2008, to 18 yrs jail - 12 yrs non parole. Offence/Other: Victims were 6 young boys. Cave would lure the boys with gifts before sexually assaulting them and taking them to other peadophiles houses to be abused. Offences occurred between 1971-76. Update -News (2-12-2011)- "Evil pedophile Philip Cave jailed until 93"- SERIAL paedophile Philip Cave has been jailed yet again, and will not be eligible for release on parole until he is 93-years-old. The District Court yesterday ordered Cave, 61, serve 14 years' jail for six counts of persistent sexual exploitation of a child and one count of unlawful sexual intercourse. In sentencing, Judge Paul Rice said adding his penalty onto Cave's existing jail terms would result in a sentence of 54 years, with a 36-year non-parole period. Veness was caught videotaping up young girls skirts at a local fair. He had concealed the video camera in a bag. Admitted to Police to doing the same thing to about 6 young girls that day. Veness also has a prior conviction for exposing himself at a Salisbury Reserve in 1990 to 2 girls aged 12 & 13yrs old. MAKO has notified his community of his presence in the past.

Pleaded guilty to 14 charges including- having sexual intercourse with a young person under the age of 17/ indecent assault. Offence/ Other: Teacher. Victims were 5 male students (aged- 14-16yrs old). Offences occured between December 2004- January 2005 and April- May 2005, while Vercoe was a teacher in Tasmania. Four of the male students were abused at Vercoe's home after a basketball game. Vercoe was meant to be giving the boys a lift home, but instead bought alcohol and took them back to her home in Moonah, Hobart where the sexaul assualts occurred. Vercoe had a sexual relationship with the other victim (aged 15yrs) over a 2 month period.
