State: QLD- Inala Sentence: Sentenced in the Brisbane District Court in Dec 1996 to 13yrs jail.Up for parole May 2005. Offence/Other: Pleaded guilty to rape/ assault.Victim was a 14yr old girl(Rachael).Rachael was followed after a night out skating and savagely attacked and raped by Costello.. Rachael later committed suicide in Dec 1996 aged just 15... Costello was already on parole for robbing and attacking a pregnant woman (with a baseball bat in her own home), at the time of the attack on Rachael. The Judge at the time said,"In my opinion he presents a significant danger when living at large in the community....." .... Update-Costello is up for parole this month(May 2005).
